With a variety of gifts and talents, our After-School Teaching Team is passionate about making positive community impact 4 Love through teaching Gardening, Food Sustainability, Creative Arts, Creative Learning, Music, Arts, Drama, Dance, Cooking, Sewing, Media Art, Crafts, and Entrepreneurial Skills.

Ms Amanda has been volunteering at Lokahi Learning Center for 3+ years! She works with our youngest group and has more patience and love than could ever be imagined! Not only does she bring dedication to Lokahi After-School Tuesdays, but she also brings a sense of calm and peace. Amanda graduated from college this past spring, and works in the field of veterinary medicine, yet still volunteers her time to our Wahiawa keiki each Tuesday!

Auntie Charlotte, a musician her entire life, teaches in our corner music studio. Her mission is to help students discover their love and talents for music in many different ways. You'll find her helping students with their keyboard skills, learning the notes of the scale and how to play songs on bells, xylophones and more!

Mr. Terry Brown, a music icon on the island of Oahu, teaches ukulele lessons at Lokahi After-School. He grew up in Wahiawa, and is committed to our Wahiawa students, and keiki across the island, learning the ukulele and students discovering their passion for the instrument!

Ms. Shonelle is our primary teacher for our Monday Ike Loa Pre-school group and their siblings. She brings a highly creative mind to our nature- focused activities, an unhurried presence, and a gentle spirit as the students experience play-based learning.

Ms. Angelina partners with Ms. Shonelle in leading our Pre-School Ike Loa Mondays, and she volunteers at Tuesday Lokahi After-School. She is gifted at meeting our students right where they are and discerning their learning needs. She's an incredible listener, and students of every age are drawn to her.
